"I think it would be more fun to be a bee than being Lola," Lola observed sadly the other day.
"How come? I think it must be fun to be Lola!"
Lola stopped walking and planted her hands on her hips, looking worldwearily at me. "I am TIRED of being Lola! I have been Lola for a long time!"
"You've only been Lola for four years!"
"That's a long time."

So she's not running for another four year term as Lola? Is she no longer accepting campaign contributions? Anyone else running?

it's exhausting being anyone. i'm so tired of this body too.
lola can gladly take the bees. we can all be the flowers.
four years is a long time, especially if you are four - it's your entire life! two years is half your life! it only goes fast now because we have a different yardstick.
