damn brain!
As I was chauffeuring the children about, out of the blue Lucy shouted, "STOP IT, DAMN BRAIN! DAMN BRAIN!" at herself.
For those of you following at home, H's response might itself be a straight line with a punch line along the lines of "How about 'If I could change the alphabet, U and I would be together'" Something hopefully only a drunk straight male would utter. Try your own punch line, and add it here!
Have you guys read "Straight Man' by Richard Russo? Brilliant, brilliant, and very funny. The protagonist is a burnt out professor of English, and his viewpoint is that in the English dep't at his college, there's a constant competition to be the straight man. The other professors say absurd things constantly without realizing it.

Once again, the alpha computer user strikes! Every comnputer in this house is always being left logged on to her accounts.
If I only had a dollar for every time I've had that exact thought. Mostly, at 2 a.m.
