be careful what you wish for
Pigwidgeon the dimwitted African grey woke us up this morning, shouting her first words over and over again: "STEP UP STEP UP STEP UP STEP UP" as the sun rose.
OK -- I know the term "LOL" is wildly and inaccurately over-used these days, and I also know it is wrong, so very wrong to derive pleasure from the plight of others. But dang, Carole, this had me laughing. Repeatedly! I have a feeling that bird of yours may just be a bit of a late bloomer. Context and cognitive application of endless word connections is just around the corner. I predict that Piggle will be keeping you fascinating company well into your golden years :-)

Did you step it up?
Because apparently someone thinks you need to step it, the fuck, up!
Step II in his self-improvement program should be to learn how to perch in a tree without falling.
